Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Helloooooo!

I got tagged by ~miemie-chan3 some days ago, but I hadn't had enough time to answer to it these latest days (busy week, blah blah blah...), so... OK, let's go!
Hey! I was already tagged not a very long time ago in another journal entry by another deviant, but... well... This "10 facts" thingy is very fun... Go! |D

1. Many people thinks that I'm a girl, but I'm male! Not a joke! Maybe the art I made may be confusing about this... Ahahaha! XD

2. I live in Clermont-Ferrand, a medium-sized city (approximately 200,000 inhabitants) in the center of France, best known as the hometown of the Michelin tires. But it is highly likely that I'll move to Paris in spring 2011 for my studies...

3. I will study Japanese language and culture at Paris from this spring, after passing some time without any real goal in my life (the worst mistake I've made, a very bad time... Never, never stop suddenly your studies!). And I'd really like to take art classes in order to improve and learn new things, methods, and using new tools besides my Japanese classes.
My wish career is to be a graphic designer and living in Japan in the future when I will finish all my studies, but my skills are really bad and my main interest in art is cute and happy art design... : (

4. I'm 20 years old, but I never had a girlfriend... _{_{Well... I'm extremely shy... :/}}

5. I admit I feel very weird and strange because, as a male, I really love cute, colorful and 'kawaii' things. I'm not bi or gay, I just love things which brings me lots of happiness and makes me 'awwwwwww'! ;____;

6. My greatest wish is to be able to learn some others foreign languages besides English and Japanese, especially some less spoken languages... even if my spoken English is terrible and almost incomprehensible due to my very strong French accent... Mwahaha! :p

7. I'm a huge coffee addict, without sugar please!
About foods, I eat almost everything, but my preferences are Asian and Creole specialties (because of my family origins), and... cookieeeeeeeeeeees! : D

8. About music, I like almost all styles of musics, but I prefer Dance, Electro, and J-Pop musics.
Otherwise, this depends of my mood...

9. I'm always calm, quiet and zen, a simple thing is enough to make me happy. After all, life is simple and beautiful, huh?
Anyway, when someone piss me off, I can be really angry and furious, or super mad! :|

10. I check, and spend lots of time, on deviantART everyday, except since some weeks because I'm busy with real-life thingies... The community is just so lovely and wonderful, and I've met -and hope to meet- lots of amazing people!
Since I'm an active member on dA (since summer 2009), I haven't submitted lots of deviations because... well, I admit I wasn't really sure if I should upload my others works because my art skills aren't really good enough.
Now, from 2011, I will try to upload most of the things I will made and sharing them here (and writing journal entries more often, and... no, I'm a poll addict! No change here! Teeheehee! :Y ), much more often...

French accent when talkin' in English... je ne vois rien de mal à cela... not having "girlfriend" even though being twenty already - sound like You would expect game-alike "achievement unlocked" tag - Michael go easy on that and just be Yourself - trust me as long as it's not some silly game of Yours girls like guys like You - I know I do, and come to think: over half of Your subscribers are girls aren't they? (if not - it still proves the point - but with different argumentation)

Btw, speaking of becoming graphic designer - did You heard about Alphanim - if You work hard enough as designer - who knows ;D

Daww you seem very cute >w< [sorry if you don't want to be called cute]. It's cool that you like and admit that you like cute things. :] My younger cousin is like that and there have been a good amount of girls who have had crushes on him. He's shy too and only 15, so no girlfriends yet either [hopefully it will stay like that for a long time too - I worry for him]. I'm sure an Asian girl will definitely take to you. ;]

Oh no problem! XD Yes, sometimes I feel a bit weird that I really like cute things, but I prefer something cute which have the power to bring a smile and good thoughts that something too much 'dark' and pessimist. Our world is too much serious and need more simplicity and cuteness... <3
