Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. New computer, new starting...

Great news!

After one month without any computer at home, except my Apple iPod Touch, I've finally got a new computer!
So, what about my new computer?
I've bought it on a french website named Rueducommerce (www.rueducommerce.fr) for only €340 (about US$500).
It is a custom-made computer. Here is the specification of my new computer:

- CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 "Wolfdale" 45 nm @ 2,8 GHz
- 3 GB DDR2 RAM (2 GB + 1 GB)
- 1000 GB Western Digital SATA-II HDD @ 7200 rpm
- Gigabyte G31M-ES2L motherboard (dual BIOS)
- Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT 512 MB
- Big black Coolermaster case
- Windows 7 Ultimate (English version) 32-bit (the computer was shipped without any operating system installed...)

I'm very happy of my new computer!
Everything goes fast, run better than on my old computer!
For example, I can run all my games (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl, Test Drive Unlimited or Colin McRae DiRT), except Crysis, in max details, in 1440 x 900, without any framerate issues.
And, oh! This computer doesn't make any noise (aww... my ears!), doesn't overheat when I launch Firefox (on my old computer, my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ CPU was very hot! About 75°C, or 176°F, in "idle", without any softwares launched!), and run very fine!

I've made a very good deal!
I'm so happy!
I hope I will don't have any problems with this new computer for the next 2 years...

Pretty powerful specification(at last for me). Though if I could\would buy new stationary computer - I would surely buy "CUDA" card from Nvidia instead of investing in processor :)

Still from what I know You can always buy one if You will require more computing power.


P.s.: games? I recommend iBlast moki for iP & iT ;D
